THE STONEWORKS INSTITUTE
PROGRAMS
The StoneWorks Institute currently offers
the following programs. Each has a specific target constituency,
cultural context and time frame. Inaugural programs are held at
Belhaven College, in Jackson Mississippi, after which trained
leaders will facilitate them in different national locations and
regions of the world.

GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP SUMMITS (GPS)
GPS technology is able
to take a person turn by turn toward their desired destination.
Global Partnership Summits (GPS)
bring together established arts leaders and gatekeepers
who work in the context of the church, education, missions and
the broader marketplace for dialogue, prayer and discovery of
pathways leading to church and cultural renewal-that emphasize
the importance of culture-making, global partnerships and shared
resources.
STONEWORKS ARTS LEADERSHIP TRAINING (SALT)
Salt cleanses and
flavors. Both actions are necessary for any transformational process.
StoneWorks Arts Leadership Training
(SALT) identifies and brings together emerging arts leaders
engaged in church, academy, missions and the broader marketplace,
mentoring them to be morally, intellectually and spiritually transformational
leaders-faithful to Christ and the gospel call to be salt in their
particular cultural context.
ARTISTS &
CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION SYMPOSIUMS (ACTS)
Acts references the biblical book of ÒActsÓ
that records spiritual and cultural transformation.
Artists & Cultural Transformation
Symposiums (ACTS) brings together practicing culture-shapers
in the arts community (writers, directors, producers, choreographers,
composers, visual artists, film makers, patrons, etc.) for community,
personal renewal, artistic input, insightful dialog, and intentional
orientation toward a transformational vision.
ARTS, RECONCILIATION
& TRANSFORMATION SEMINARS (ARTS)
Arts in the life & mission of the Church,
expressing the presence of Christ in the world.
Arts, Reconciliation & Transformation
Seminars (ARTS) develop a Christian perspective on the
arts and the imagination in life, worship and mission. These church-directed
seminars affirm the arts and imagination as gifts from God to
be celebrated, and will explore their important role in culture
formation and reformation within the biblical context of creation,
fall, and redemption.

Following the inaugural Summit at Belhaven
College in 2007, Global Partnership Summits (GPS) are in the planning
stages for Australia and Europe for 2009. An Arts & Cultural
Transformation Symposiums (ACTS) is planned for professional dancers
in 2008 and an academic-focused StoneWorks Arts Leadership Training
(SALT) is planned for June 2009.
Arts, Reconciliation and Transformation
Seminars (ARTS) are ongoing, and are available for consideration
upon request.
